Cerin Signal
A contextual 0-100 indicator that summarizes observable market conditions.
Cerin Signal is a composite indicator. It is designed to summarize several independent observations about a market into one number that is easier to compare across venues and over time.
Inputs and weights
Each tracked pool receives five sub-scores from 0 to 100, computed from observable pool state. The market-wide score is the liquidity-weighted average across tracked pools. Weights may be revised as the methodology matures.
- Liquidity (30%): pool reserves in USD on a log scale. $1M scores 40, $10M scores 60, $100M scores 80, $1B scores 100.
- Turnover (25%): 24h volume divided by liquidity. Scores 100 between 0.3x and 3x; lower is idle, far higher is penalised as wash-like.
- Order balance (20%): 100 when buys and sells are even over 24h, falling to 0 when flow is fully one-sided.
- Trader breadth (15%): unique buyers plus sellers in 24h on a log scale. 200 scores 40, 2,000 scores 70, 20,000 scores 100.
- Price stability (10%): 100 at a 0% 24h move, minus 5 points per percent of absolute change.
Quality gate
Pools only enter the tracked set if they hold at least $1M of liquidity, recorded at least 500 swaps and 200 unique traders in 24h, and traded no more than 25x their liquidity. This removes most wash-traded and honeypot pools that dominate raw volume rankings.
Interpretation
A higher score indicates that current observations are consistent with a deep, active and stable market. It says nothing about future price direction.
